Have a Safe & Happy Halloween!

Southern Insurance Associates wants your Halloween to be a happy one. Check out the tips below. And if you have any questions about Halloween safety or your insurance coverage give us a call at (706)996-8788.

Costume Safety

  • Costumes should be made of flame-resistant material. Don’t walk near lit candles.

  • Add reflective tape to costumes and bags.

  • Costumes should fit properly to prevent blocked vision and falls.

Safe trick-or-treating

  • Children should walk in groups with a trusted adult.

  • Make sure kids know their home phone number and how to call 911.

  • Carry flashlights and glow sticks to increase visibility.

  • Only enter homes if a trusted adult is present.

  • Examine treats. Homemade treats should only be eaten if you know the cook.

  • Limit the number of treats your children (and you) eat
